Course Description:
The SoFA Art and Design Camp for Teens is a series of mini workshops designed to engage students in experiential learning through multidisciplinary projects, allowing the exploration of a wide range of art and design techniques.

Course Outline:
Session 1: Scope of Fashion Industry and Overview of Designer’s Influence
Self-introduction to classmates- Background, experience, design journey, goals
• Lecture – Overview of the supply chain of the fashion industry
• Activity 1 : “Your story through images”- Collect visuals for self- expression and translate into a carrying item
Session 2: Sketching Session
• Presentation of Activity
• Lecture and Activity - Learn to translate your ideas (Technical drawing)
Session 3: Fashion Dictionary Workbook
• Fashion term games
• Lecture - Introduction to textiles
• Create a basic swatchbook
Session 4: Cognitive Thinking
• Activity: Exercise Associations
• Choose pictures From HW2 10 and list words that associate with them, use emotions/ feelings / concepts instead of describing the words. Share with class.
Session 5: What is Design Process
• Lecture - Sample design process and how to make it your own
• Activity - Apply cognitive thinking + your moodboard to create a mask / headpiece sketch
Session 6: Activity Day
• Full Day Activity : Execute Mask/ Headpiece
• Start Sketching for your top/shirt design
Session 7: Activity Day
• Create any top/tshirt related to your moodboard with paper, felt paper, or katsa as a base
Session 8: Finish Activity
• 1hr - polish your work
• 1hr-class critique

Course Structure: The workshop will be done face-to-face on campus, with Google Classroom serving as the learning management system.

A Certificate of Attendance will be given to each student who has successfully completed the program.
Non-Refundable & Non-Transferable. Please be informed that once the Workshop has started payment for the program will be non-refundable and non-transferable.
Name Registration. In order to properly enroll to the Workshop the name to be registered should be the name of the student.
