What makes a well-rounded fashion creative in the digital age? SoFA’s pathbreaking one-semester Certificate Program on Digital PR on Fashion focuses on the new generation of fashion creatives (learners and practitioners alike) who aim to tell their individual stories through digital platforms. It reintroduces the new rules of public relations in an increasingly digital fashion landscape.  With complementary skills in Digital Marketing, Fashion Branding and Content Creation, they can shape their own narratives and communicate them effectively to their target audiences.


For 1st Semester S.Y. 2022-2023, this program will be delivered through the SoFA C.R.E.A.T.E. (Collaborative Remote Experience through Art and Transformative Education) Program.


The semester begins in SEPTEMBER 2022

This course runs for 1 semester or approximately 4 to 5 months. 




Digital Marketing is an essential tool for creative entrepreneurs especially in a technology-driven era where a powerful brand image can prove to be a potent weapon in disrupting a stale industry. From building up a brand’s reputation & catering to a mobile consumer to decisions over cost-effectivity compared to traditional marketing, this course aims to decode the language of digital marketing for creative business owners and entrepreneurs who are interested in keeping up with digital trends & gaining advantage over the competition.


Writing is a skill that is integral in fashion and public relations.  This course trains creatives the art of fashion writing, which can be applied in two important ways: (1) for criticism; and (2) for promotions.  The first part of the course answers the question: How should fashion be viewed, appreciated, and scrutinized? At the heart of fashion criticism is a wealth of information that leads to subjectivity.  Knowing where fashion has been gives the viewer a better idea of how else it could evolve.  This course aims to equip creatives with a critical eye so they can elevate their personal taste and move from being referential to being more capable of creating while being attuned to fashion context and relevance.  On the other hand, the second part of the course focuses fashion writing for promotions. Getting the word out there is critical to building a creative’s fashion brand. Specifically, it is aimed towards developing the skill in writing for fashion advertising and marketing in the digital age. 



In the digital age, public relations have evolved significantly, and the traditional online world rules of PR are ineffective in an online world where fashion brands are expected to develop and nurture direct relationships with stakeholders.  In addition to building working relationships, this course also highlights the interplay between the art and the science of digital PR by examining its nature, operation, functions, and the various functions used for it.  More importantly, it delves into how ethics and creative messaging go hand-in-hand when it comes to creating a responsible practice.



In a fast-paced world where information is best relayed through digital platforms, it is necessary for creatives to be able to create and use content tailor made for their targeted market.  This course teaches the fundamentals of content marketing and helps in developing a system to understand the audience to generate content ideas. It also familiarizes creatives on different types of content formats and provides strategies as to how to create stream of fresh content in different digital platforms.  More importantly, to exercise the skill of integration, the ideas generated in the process will then be translated and executed into visual narratives that utilize techniques in creating videos and other tools to effectively convey the designer’s message to the intended target customer.
