Introduction to Fashion Construction 1 is a series of modules designed to teach students the basics of garment construction. Specifically, it familiarizes students on how to prepare the pattern, mark, cut and sew simple garments such as a straight skirt, a basic top and a shift dress.

It is ideal that a basic student takes Module 1 first before proceeding to the next set of stand-alone modules. A student can choose which stand-alone module to take but the this works best when taken progressively. The topics of the prior module will not be repeated.
