This workshop is a developmental reading program that will enable high school students to master the reading competencies they've acquired in the elementary grades.

Course Structure: The workshop will be done via distance learning through applications like Zoom and Google Classroom. It is advised that parental/adult supervision is provided to support the learning needs of students.

Sessions 4 – 5 - Comprehension Skills
Sessions 6 – 7 - Literary Appreciation Skills
Session 8 – Oral Interpretation or Reading with Expression Skills

A Certificate of Attendance will be given to each student who has successfully completed the program.

This course is ideal for kids ages 14 and up.
MATERIALS & EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENT - Laptop/Tablet with internet access - Webcam - Tables and/or drawing boards, recycled paper/newspaper to cover tables
NOTE: In this course, the role of parents and/or a supervising adult is critical as supervision to set-up materials and other needs is necessary. Please provide an area free of distractions with access to internet. The space should have an area for working as well as drying to lay-out materials. Kindly bear in mind that since this is an art class, the area will get messy. |
